Before I start to draw my final project, I have done some research on the shading technique. When you want to draw something that looks realistic, you have to understand how to create the illusion of depth. The best way to create this illusion is to use light and shadows.
There are several types of shading techniques, but I think I will main use the smooth shading/smudge, tonal and hatching. Let us explore the shading technique that I would like to use.
Tonal shading is actually create tone by shading from the darkest area, the shadow to the brightest area, the highlight.
Smooth shading or smudge is a shading technique that create blur effect. It can be done by using your finger or tissue to rub the shading.
Hatching, is a shading technique that create tone by drawing closely space parallel line.
