The road

"The road", is the title of this paper art work that I made for the final assignment of the visual communication.
I just want to use this piece of art to show that people always run away from problems instead of facing it or solve it. In my art work, there is a man hiding behind the trees. The man represent most of us and the curving paper represent the problems, which is so messy, giving the feeling of helpless, unhappy and unsystematic. The problems moving toward the man like the tsunami, this mean that problems always appear unexpectedly. There is a road coming out from the frame, this road represent the solution for the problems. However, that man do not want to go near to the road, because it is to near the tsunami and he is so scared and does not has courage to try. So, he choose to hide behind the trees, hoping that the tsunami will not get him. The man's action is what most of us will choose to do. When troubles or problems come, we always choose to hide, complaining, and hoping that the problems will go away by itself. In fact, it will not. We do not want to face the problems although we knew there is a solution.
So, my dear friends, are you the man? Do not feel upset if you are, because everyone of us have that experience. However, I advice you to take The Road, facing the problems and think of the solution. I am also trying to stop complaining and face the problems and solve it.
I did not made a box or a background for this paper art work because want to make it to be more freely. You can change the background by putting it on different colors wall other types of surface. Beside that, you can use it to take a photo, like what I have done. Anyway, I hope you guys like it.
